Features and Purpose
The MWC Portal is the "Source of Truth" for all welder competency records. It is free to use for everyone.
The MWC Portal is used to manage and administrate the MWC program and host all welder records.
QR codes on all welder competency certificates link to the MWC Portal to make it easy to verify them.
Purpose and Use
The MWC Portal is used by all personnel who are involved in weld repair activities.
Mine Sites - View the Competency Level and skills of any welders that work on the site - FTE's or Contractors who use the MWC and are inducted at that site.
Contractors - View the Competency Level and skills of all welders and which sites they are inducted at. Allow your clients to easily see the competency level of your welders who are inducted at a client's site. Assign welders to a site for longer term arrangements so that site users can see contractor welders who are part of their normal crew.
Coordinators - Through the MWC Portal, users with "Coordinator" access can fully self manage the MWC process. Using the MWC Portal, you can easily manage the enrolment of new welders, see what stage everyone is up to, and add or update welder records for training, provisional competency, skills (such as pressure pipe welding, boom ticket, etc), and see who is competent in peening. The MWC Portal also provides facility for managing all coaching requirements for welders to be able to obtain the necessary proficiency and competency.
Functionality
Planning - see all site and contractor welders available. Site welders can be filtered based on their department and crew. Contractor welders can be filtered based on their company.
Supervisors - Easily see what the competency level is of any contractor welders, so you know which cracks to assign them to for repair. Manage welders in your crew and easily see the competency and skills for each welder. Coaching and training requirements are also shown. Use the MWC Portal for easy onboarding and of new employees and management of their progress towards achieving their Mining Welder Competency Level.
Mechanical Engineers - Use the MWC Portal to easily keep track of training and VoC for all FTE's and contractor approvals.
Additional Skills, Qualifications and Training - Easily record and show any additional skills (eg Peening), welder qualifications (eg Boom ticket, pressure piping) or specific training without having to look in the personnel files or site training system.
Features
Fully searchable - easy to find and display records for any welder using filters or search.
Records - add/view records for MWC process, Peening (Inter-run and Toe Peening), Training, Additional Skills and Qualifications. All records are secure and cloud accessible.
Coaching - identify and track specific coaching needs and mark as completed once the welder has received adequate coaching
Inductions - keep track of all the sites that welders are inducted at. This also allows mine sites who use the MWC Portal to see all contractor welders inducted at their site
Assignment - If a contractor is going to be working on a mine site as part of a crew, they can be "assigned" to the site so that the welder is shown in the site FTE welders for ease of crew management.
Verifications - keep records up to date and maintain compliance by verifying welders employment and activity every 6 months.
